We're also going to look at daily logs and we're going to create our own key in our journal. So here I have my layout pad, just my sketch pad. You can use scrap paper, anything you want. I just want to explain to you what rapid logging is and what the symbols mean. So in bullet journaling... we differentiate and events with different symbols. I'll show you the traditional key first of all, which is what Ryder Carroll uses, he's the inventor of the bullet journal method....”

She studied graphic design at university in her home country of Scotland, but Annie never went on to work in graphic design roles and instead chose to pursue her love of painting and traditional illustration. In 2017 she discovered bullet journaling by chance on Instagram, and fell in love with the activity. So much so that in 2018 Annie started her first ‘proper’ bullet journal and created her Instagram account @ajournalbyannie to share her journaling online.
It wasn’t long before brands and potential clients began noticing her work and she was able to turn A Journal by Annie into a business. She has collaborated with various brands and publications including Rescue Remedy, My Life Handmade, Gaston Luga, and Simply Lettering Magazine. As well as this Annie also sells her artwork and products online.
