“Now that we've decided how to make a strong composition, let's go ahead and transfer the image onto our panel. The reason to start with the sketch is so that you have a map. but the sketch does not have to have every detail that's going to be in the painting. The idea is just to give us an overall shape so that we know more or less where things are gonna go when we start working. There are a couple different ways to get your image onto your panel.
