Specialization in novel writing

Cristina López Barrio studied law at the Complutense University of Madrid and worked as a lawyer and intellectual property expert for 13 years. In 2009, after winning the Villa Pozuelo de Alarcón Young Adult Novel Award for her book El hombre que se mareaba con la rotación de la Tierra (Everest 2009) and publishing her novel La casa de los amores imposibles (Plaza&Janés, 2010), she decided to fully devote herself to writing.

Since then, La casa de los amores imposibles has been translated into 15 languages and published in 22 countries including the United States, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Israel, and Mexico. Cristina has also published a collection of stories titled El reloj del mundo (Flash from Penguin Random House, 2012) and several other novels including El cielo en un infierno cabe (Plaza&Janés 2013), Tierra de brumas (Plaza&Janés 2015), and Rómpete, corazón (Planeta 2019). In October 2017, she was chosen as a finalist for the Premio Planeta award for her novel Niebla en Tánger.

Charlie Becerra is an author, writer, and creative director from Lima, Peru. As a writer specializing in crime fiction, he has published multiple books with industry giants like Penguin Random House, Planeta, and more. Charlie can't imagine a more rewarding profession than writing and devotes a large portion of his time to researching real-life crimes and criminal cases to help him create realistic detectives and killers for his stories.

His first novel, Solo vine para que ella me mate, earned him an honorable mention at the 2020 Premio Nacional de Literatura de Perú, and the film rights for it were later bought by a major producer in Los Angeles, California.

Gustavo Rodríguez is a writer and the author of novels like La furia de Aquiles, La risa de tu madre, La semana tiene siete mujeres, República de La Papaya, Te escribí mañana, Madrugada, and more. He also writes short stories and books for children and young adults.

Apart from literature, he has written ads and articles and is the editor of an opinion website called Jugo de Caigua. He also wrote and produced Machista con hijas, a podcast for the platform Podimo, and was a collaborator for the magazine Etiqueta negra when it first started.

Abril Posas was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and knew she wanted to be a writer when she discovered that a story could move her just like a movie or her favorite cartoons. Before publishing her first book of short stories, El triunfo de la memoria (Paraíso Perdido, 2017), she was featured in a number of anthologies including Moscas, niñas y otros muertos (Punto de partida, 2004), El silencio de los cuerpos (Ediciones B, 2015), and Río entre las piedras (Paraíso Perdido, 2016).

In 2019, she quit her job at an advertising agency to write her first novel: Esto no es una canción de amor (Paraíso Perdido, 2020). Her passion since then is sharing how to take the leap from short story to novel with other aspiring writers.
