Ute Krause

Ute Krause is a well-known children`s bookwriter and illustrator in Germany. She has written over fourty books from picture book to children`s novel, many of which have become bestsellers, and has illustrated over fourhundred books in the course of her long career. Her books have been nominated for prizes, not just in Germany, translated into over twenty languages and turned into films and series for German television. She was born in Berlin, grew up in Turkey, Nigeria, India, Cyprus and lived in the US. She now makes her home in Berlin, but has travelled extensively for the German Goethe Institute, giving workshops in writing and illustration all over the world.
