About the video: Materials
Overview
“In this lesson, I explain what materials you will need to complete this course. But don’t worry if you do not have access to all the specific brands as you can substitute with whatever works for you. Also, feel free to use any other medium that you are comfortable with for this project. These materials are just a guide but you will definitely need some paper and pencils to start with. ”
In this video lesson Connie Lim addresses the topic: Materials, which is part of the Domestika online course: Creative Fashion Illustration Techniques. Learn how to combine traditional drawing and collage techniques to create a dynamic fashion illustration.
Partial transcription of the video
“Now that you know a little bit about me, it's now time to go over the materials that you will need for this course. To start this project, you need some materials and I like to use Arches watercolor paper for the base. It's 300gcm hot press and I prefer hot press because it's more smoother So you allow your materials to have more texture. So for this project, you would also need some other paper materials. and I suggest some acetate which is quite shiny to give that shiny effect Some tracing paper. It's a bit more cloudy but still see-through so you can get that nice hazy kind of aesthetic....”
