Find out all you need to know to crochet your own socks, from the tools and materials to the techniques for creating different sizes. Study the structure of a sock laid out flat, and use it to build up to a 3D format, getting to know the pattern and its various possibilities.
Now it's time to get to work! First, look at the different stitches for your chosen design. Shape the front part of the sock by increasing and decreasing until the toe takes shape. Then, create volumes to form the heel and invisible seams to join the sides.
Alicia goes on to show you how to manifest the ideas you have on paper in your needlework, then the endless ways to customize your piece. Learn how to work your initials and even full sentences into the patterns by calculating it according to the different parts of each sock.
