To start this online course, immerse yourself in the world of illustration with visual artist Emiliano Ponzi. Discover the creative process that has led him to work with important magazines and brands as well as his biggest sources of inspiration over the years.
Next, have a go at depicting a scene from various angles at different times, including a before and after. Then move on to life drawing, freely interpreting the human form focusing on the essential lines, weights, and volumes.
It's time to get to work on the design of your cover by analyzing the brief to create a series of sketches before choosing your favorite for your final piece. Once you're happy with your composition, define the shadows, colors, and smaller details.
Now decide which elements to retouch and polish off your piece for a professional finish. Emiliano also gives some tips on how to relate to the client and sell both your professionalism and artistic identity.

Questo corso è stato molto utile e soprattutto non mi ha annoiata. Mi ha permesso di essere libera e di avere il mio tono nelle mie illustrazioni. Questo corso lo scelto proprio perché volevo concentrarmi sul pensiero di Ponzi ovvero come lavora e il suo approccio al disegno, ispirazioni etc. Lo strettamente consigliato.

Throughout the years, he's worked for brands, magazines, and newspapers like Le Monde, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton, MoMa New York, Der Spiegel, Penguin Books, Amnesty International, Armani, Bulgari, Gucci, La Repubblica, Feltrinelli, Lavazza, TIM, Pirelli, Ferrari, and many more. He has also received multiple awards and recognitions, among them a silver medal at the 2008 New York Society of Illustrators for his editorial drawing for the New York Times Book Review. After many years in Milan, he now lives and works in New York, carrying out projects for magazines, advertising and publishing agencies, and brands.
