Before going any further, brainstorm some ideas to find a theme for your jewelry collection. Sketch your preliminary designs on paper and experiment with possible shapes. Then, learn how to properly set up your workspace and get an introduction to different types of solder.
Now fire up your torch and heat the metal to make it more malleable. Move on to shaping your pieces with the dapping technique, making them concave or curved, and solder them together.
Your teachers show you several ways to join your jewelry and options for closures, like the hook or hidden clasp.
Finally, they explain how to get a nice finish and prepare your pieces if you want to send them to a shop for an electroplating bath.
