About the final project for: Create a Poster Campaign in Swiss Style
Draw a Poster Campaign in Swiss Style
“Hi, thank you for taking this course with me! It was a pleasure teaching you the basics of this style, which I'm so passionate about. Now it's time to create the final design. Remember a few key things. When reading the brief, always make sure all the information is included. I've created ideal briefs for you, but when working with a client, if you notice something missing, don't hesitate to ask. To work effectively on typography, you need to have the complete picture right from the start, otherwise you risk having to redo the project two or three times. When developing the concept, always start with research, analyze the context, and then how that context is conveyed visually. From there, extrapolate a key concept to translate with simple yet effective geometric shapes. Remember: the clearer you are about the message you want to convey visually, the easier it will be to achieve it and also defend your decisions with your clients. When you start working, I recommend starting with analog composition; it's a method I find truly useful for helping you sift through and get to the heart of things. In fact, drawing analog inherently brings technical limitations that you wouldn't have in digital; this somehow forces you, positively, to simplify your ideas. When translating your drafts into digital, always organize your workspace well and be as tidy as possible with your folders and files. I also encourage you to create a final project that's different from mine. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, as they can lead to interesting conclusions you wouldn't have anticipated. I've left you some assignments online, which I ask you to share on the Domestika forum. This way, I can help you develop your project by providing feedback. Finally, don't forget to share your final project so other students can see it and you can learn from each other. Define your concept and draw your paper drafts
