As an introduction to the course, Paula talks about her career so far and how she came to be a professional ceramicist and teacher. Take a look at some of her most defining pieces and a few of her main sources of inspiration.
Familiarize yourself with all the necessary materials for decorating your pieces, like powdered glazes, wax, pencils, decals, and ceramic tiles.
See what underglazing is and learn a few techniques for achieving different results. Start with an oxide wash and move on to do a bubble glaze. Then it's time to decorate using decal transfers, some clever tricks with wax and chalk, and lastly the "tape resist" method.
Next, take a look at the exact process for the decorative overglaze and third firing techniques. For the overglaze, play around with tracing paper and blotting on a recently glazed piece. Then, for the third firing technique you use transferable ceramic decals, gold and silver gilding flakes, and decoration with oily materials such as wax and crayons.
Wrap things up applying everything you've learned to an item of ceramics, whether one of your own creations or a shop-bought piece. Paula gives some advice on the types of pieces that can be decorated and how to care for your work so it lasts for many years to come.
Create a sample for each of the decorative techniques on a tile and then decorate a whole ceramic piece using one or several of the techniques combined.

Beginners and anyone wanting to learn to work with clay and glazes.
No previous knowledge is required for this course.
In terms of materials, Paula tells you which materials are essential and which are optional during the course. You can start off with glazes suitable for kiln firing, transfer decals, insulator tape, sponges, powdered glazes, oxide, paintbrushes, and finally, wax, pencils, and ceramic crayons. You also need a ceramic tile and either a homemade or shop-bought ceramic item, as well as access to a kiln.

fantastic course!
Para mi este curso no ha servido. No lo volveri a comprar. Hice 4 compras de cursos de ceramica en Domestika le mismo dia y de este es el unico del que si pudiese, pediría el reembolso.
the course is good but the tranlation is quite bad and makes it hard to follow the technique she is describing
Todos os cursos da Paula são maravilhoso
This course gave me lots of new tips for ceramic glazing, especially as a beginner. English subtitles were a bit off though but I was still able to understand the information.
