Composition and drawing in colored pencils of my view of Miyajima.

Dear Alex,
Thanks a lot for your most inspiring course about travelling when sitting still.
Here is my project of Miyajima, an island near Hiroshima, world famous for its Itsukushima shrine and the famous Red Gate „torii“ which has been under Restauration for some time. Therefore all photos are mine except for the gate which I had to look up because it was covered under a huge plastic sheet or box.

I love this little island. There were supposed to be 10 000 tourists per day (ante covid). The island is also known for the many deer walking freely around on the island.

I might try a digital version of this drawing.
