Introduction
Really enjoyed this course. I have quite a few years of experience in hand making leather goods, including some pieces that are wet molded. I wanted to add some new products to my range and felt these were a good start. Very pleased with my first attempt.

Supplies
Leather - 1.2mm natural veg-tan leather (a bit thin and will use 1.8mm going forward) - AA Crack Ltd, UK
Dye - Fiebings black oil based dye (careful, it gets everywhere!) - Graff City, UK
Gold Leaf - 23.5ct leaf from Gold Leaf supplies UK
Glue - Eco-Flo leather weld from Tandy
Mold - David Watson - @wattywoodturner
Goats Foot (Patacabra) Mallet - Pro Atelier Plus
Lasting Pliers - C.SOsborne - from H.Webber UK
Cobblers hammer - Ebay

Inspiration
I've used the wet molding technique before to make masks but wanted to create a commercial product to add to my existing range. This was a great course that stepped me through the process and enabled me to create my first wet molded bowl. Now to experiment with different sizes and colours!
