Diego Areso is a renowned journalist and graphic designer specialized in editorial design. With vast experience in the field, Diego has worked as art director for El País, one of the main newspapers in Spain, where he coordinates the design of magazines and supplements.

Throughout his career, Diego has collaborated with prominent publications such as the Mexican edition of Vogue, Vanity Fair, and GQ, among others. In addition, he has carried out redesign projects for magazines such as Glamour, GQ, AD and Vogue during his stay in Mexico.

His passion for editorial design has led him to redesign various publications, including El País Semanal, S Moda and ICON. He has also participated in the launch of the Mexican edition of Vanity Fair and has been recognized with awards such as the Gràffica in 2018 for his contribution to current editorial design.

Stefano Cipolla is a journalist and art director at the weekly magazine L’Espresso. Although he originally enrolled to study political science, his life-long love of images helped him discover his passion for design, which he decided to pursue at a private graphic design school instead. After several years at an agency, he shifted to freelance work, producing books and magazines, designing exhibitions, and creating ads for brands and events.

Since then, he's worked for different magazines and newspapers such as Il Manifesto, La Repubblica, and L’Espresso, where he's held the position of art director since 2018. He spent 12 years teaching history of graphic design and infographics at the IED in Rome and currently teaches editorial design at the Scuola di giornalismo in Urbino. He also gives lectures and runs workshops at Mimaster in Milan and the IED in Turin.

Lars Harmsen is a creative director from Munich, Germany. Following an internship as a print media designer, he founded the design agency MAGMA while still studying visual communication. He is also a founding partner of the creative agency Melville Brand Designs. In 1996, he created Volcano Type, an independent font foundry with more than 200 different typefaces. In 2004, he started the web blog project Slanted, dedicated to typography and design, which was complemented by a magazine under the same name the following year. This project has grown into what is today Slanted Publishers, an independent publishing and communication company. In addition to his many endeavors, Lars has been teaching design and typography at the Fachhochschule Dortmund since 2011.

His work, recognized at home and abroad, focuses on typography as well as corporate and editorial design. He is also chief curator of the artist's book series 100for10 and designer of Makers Bible. He is the author and designer of many photography, typography, and design books, including Yearbook of Type, Typodarium, Photodarium, and numerous photo books.

Chris Vickers is co-founder and creative director of Extract Studio. He gained a BA in Graphic Design from the University for the Creative Arts in 2011 and has worked as a professional designer ever since.

With Extract Studio, Chris has collaborated with a diverse set of clients ranging from global organisations and tech-start-ups to publishers of all sizes. Extract’s work includes collaborations with a wide range of editorial clients including; Boxoffice Pro, Teeth, Another Escape, The Beautiful Truth, and a Laurence King published book, So You Want to Publish a Magazine.

François Havegeer and Sacha Léopold have been running the editorial design studio Syndicat since 2012. In 2015, they took the plunge and created their own publishing house: Empire. It was there that the magazine Faire was born, a bimonthly printed magazine dealing with issues related to graphic design.

Whether designing books or magazines, creating visual identities, organizing exhibitions, or exploring printing techniques, their field of expertise is extremely vast. They enjoy working on atypical or art-related subjects, collaborating with contemporary artists and art centers, but also publications, monographs, and artists' books.
