Although she is formally trained as an architect, Rocío Diestra has found success as an illustrator and cartoon artist. Her comic strips are characterized by sweet, simple, almost naif, linework, that contrasts with the provocative messages woven into the dialogue.

This contrast of sweet and sour has led her to work with major brands like Absolut Perú and Vogue España. She has also published a book with Penguin Random House titled Este libro no es acerca de ti, a collection of comics and texts that was warmly received by her audiences.

Her latest projects tackle other important topics like mental health and social issues. One of the most notable projects from her recent work is El Crush, a webcomic that became so popular on social media it was converted into a graphic novel and published by Penguin Random House.

Óscar Alonso, better known as 72kilos, is an illustrator and cartoon artist. He uses his drawings to recount the events of his day-to-day life and share his inner universe with nearly two million followers on Instagram. Thanks to his inspiring illustrations, he has collaborated with big-name brands such as adidas, Amnesty International, and the Spanish Red Cross.

He also has thirteen years of experience working in creative advertising, where he developed the ability to quickly generate lots of new ideas and adapt them to contexts with limited time and space. This experience also gave him the skill set he needed to successfully launch and develop his career as an illustrator.

Javier Royo Espallargas, better known as Javirroyo, is an illustrator, designer, and professor who holds a fine arts degree from the University of the Basque Country. His specialty is taking complex ideas and boiling them down into simple yet thought-provoking illustrations bordering on the abstract. The aim of his work is to tell stories and discuss topics like death, sex, love, friendship, and topical issues. In 2020, he won the Gràffica Award, which every year recognizes the top ten creative professionals in Spain's visual culture.

In addition to running the illustration and design studio Chispum, he currently collaborates as an illustrator and cartoonist for El País, El Semanal, Visual, La Maleta de Portbou, Uppers, El Meteorito, and El Estafador. When he's not drawing, he's teaching others how to do so as a professor of illustration and design at the Open University of Catalonia, Eina, IDEP, and BAU. He is also a board member and the head of education at Foundawtion, a nonprofit organization devoted to promoting and developing education and architecture in Africa. His latest published books include Martín Berasategui y David de Jorge, La Tortilla de Patatas, La Escuela, Grandes cócteles del mundo, Life is Sho, Homo Machus, and Laborachismo.

Ricardo Liniers Siri is a cartoonist from Argentina better known simply as Liniers, one of his last names. He began his career publishing fanzines before making the leap to the national press with the comic strip Bonjour in the newspaper Página 12. Since 2002, he's been publishing comics strips daily in La Nación and on a weekly basis for El País in Spain.

He has published more than 30 books in 17 countries around the world. His illustrations have been featured in many formats, from album covers for Kevin Johansen, Andrés Calamaro, and Marcelo Ezquiaga to covers for the prestigious magazine The New Yorker. His work has also been displayed in countries such as Brazil, Peru, Spain, and the United States in the 2018 Society of Illustrators exhibit.

When he's not drawing comics, he collaborates on projects with other artists and friends, such as live painting at Kevin Johansen concerts and an illustrated stand up show with illustrator Alberto Montt. He also cofounded the publishing house Editorial Común with his wife Angie.

As a culmination of his career, he won the Eisner Award (the "Illustrators' Oscar") and the Inkpot Award at the 2018 Comic-Con held in California.

In his course, he shares his creative process for crafting comic strips with wit and personality, demonstrating that you don't need to be a great illustrator to tell great stories.
